touched by air
video, 12 minutes
premiered at bergen kunsthal as part of our mfa graduation exhibition.

touched by air is an video essay taking point of departure from the question of what it means to say that there is love in the air. does it mean that emotions can vibrate? that they can hang in the air as a temperature? air is invisible, but it has visible effects. by pointing the camera at what cannot be seen, i start an investigation of what air is, what it consists of and how it moves and touches us. along the way we hear about a love song that moves from a speaker in a pizzeria to my friend in the queue where it tickles through his spine as electricity, but also of a gas filling 1% of the atmosphere which qualities could be thought of as loving.
